Regulation & Company Information
Royal De Bank was created to pay tribute to a man, William I, King of Württemberg. His economic success improved the image of the investment banking in Europe, confiding before his death, that his successes were in fact merely the result of his love for his wife who, in his words, was “the engine of his success”.
William I, King of Württemberg, began his reign with the economic crisis of 1816 in Germany. He is considered as the savior, by developing investment on raw materials.
On January 24, 1816, William I, King of Württemberg, contracts a brilliant union with the love of his life, the Duchess Catherine Pavlovna Romanova of Russia, daughter of the late Tsar Paul I of Russia and widow of the Duke of Oldenburg, with whom she had two daughters Marie and Sophie.
The idyll is short-lived, however, Queen Catherine dying in 1819 at the age of 31. Loving his wife more than anything, he decreed on her death that every erected monument or institution should serve to perpetuate the name of his wife.
Royal De Bank cares to preserve the personal qualities of this great man, in his respect, his success and commitment.
